Who operates this website

This website, jorgeseverino.org, presents the artworks and legacy of Dominican artist Jorge Severino and may offer authorised posters, reproductions and prints. It is operated by Jorge Luis Severino, Billo Frometa #27 esq. Beethoven, Aroyo Hondo, DN, 10510, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Contact: info@jorgeseverino.org. The person or entity named on the order receipt is the seller for that transaction.

02

Using the website and accepting these terms

You may browse the gallery for personal, non-commercial purposes. Before placing an order, please review the relevant product details, these terms, our Returns and Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy. Where checkout requires acceptance, submitting an order indicates that you have reviewed the terms presented before purchase. We will not impose a waiver of rights protected by mandatory consumer law.

03

Artwork, products and authenticity

Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, posters and art prints are reproductions of artworks, not original paintings. A purchase does not transfer any intellectual-property or reproduction rights. Product pages should identify the print type, medium, available sizes, price, any frame options, and other relevant specifications before purchase. Paintings may appear different on screens due to display settings; material differences, defects and incorrect goods remain subject to applicable consumer remedies.

Descriptions of artwork history, dates or dimensions are provided only where verified and may be corrected when reliable records become available.

04

Orders and electronic contracting

Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it or create a completed purchase. An order is submitted when you complete checkout. We will provide an electronic acknowledgement or confirmation when the relevant store and payment systems are available. Acceptance, charging, production and delivery depend on the product being offered, successful payment verification and the details disclosed at checkout.

If an item cannot be supplied or an error affects an order, we will inform the customer and offer appropriate remedies, including a refund when required. Electronic communications and transaction records are subject to applicable Dominican law, including Law No. 126-02 on Electronic Commerce, Digital Documents and Signatures.

05

Prices, currencies, taxes and payment

Prices are presented in the currency displayed on the product and checkout pages. Where USD is displayed, the price is denominated in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Any applicable taxes, shipping charges and other mandatory costs must be disclosed before final purchase, consistent with applicable law. Exchange-rate or card-issuer charges, where applicable, may depend on your financial institution. A receipt or fiscal invoice will be issued when required by Dominican tax rules and the seller’s applicable tax status.

Only payment methods actually displayed and enabled at checkout can be used. We do not ask customers to email card passwords or one-time passcodes.

06

Production, shipping and delivery

Available delivery regions, order-processing arrangements, expected delivery times and shipping charges should be shown before a customer confirms a purchase. Where a made-to-order printing service is used, manufacturing and shipping may involve an authorised third-party provider and carrier. Shipping estimates are not guarantees unless expressly agreed.

Please enter a complete, accurate delivery address. If an order is delayed, lost, delivered incorrectly or not supplied as agreed, contact us promptly. We will review the matter and provide the remedies required by applicable consumer law. Import charges, if any, must be disclosed or clearly explained before purchase where required by law.

07

Returns, damage and consumer remedies

Please consult the Returns and Refunds Policy for the contact procedure, currently including a seven-day request window for ordinary return enquiries. That voluntary process is not a limit on any statutory right. A damaged, defective, misdescribed, undelivered or incorrect item will be assessed under applicable law, including Law No. 358-05 on Consumer Protection and its implementing rules. No “made to order” designation cancels a mandatory remedy.

08

Copyright and use of images

Paintings, photographs, texts, signatures and creative material on the Website may be protected by copyright and other rights held by their respective owners or authorised licensors. Except as the law permits, copying, scanning, distributing, commercially reproducing, using for merchandise or creating derivative products requires prior written authorisation from the relevant rights holder. Purchasing a reproduction does not grant a licence to reproduce the underlying artwork. See the Dominican National Copyright Office (ONDA) and Law No. 65-00 on Copyright.

09

Accounts, website safety and privacy

If customer accounts are available, users are responsible for keeping their credentials secure. Do not misuse the Website, interfere with its security or submit content that violates law or third-party rights. Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, with reference to Dominican Law No. 172-13 on Personal Data Protection.

10

Accuracy, fair terms and responsibility

We endeavour to provide accurate information and maintain the Website. We may correct errors and temporarily interrupt access for maintenance or security. These terms do not exclude or restrict responsibilities for faulty goods, non-delivery, misleading product information or other liabilities that may not lawfully be excluded. Any contractual provision is interpreted consistently with applicable mandatory consumer protections.

11

Complaints and dispute resolution

For questions, complaints or assistance, email info@jorgeseverino.org with your order number, the issue and supporting information. We will review your complaint in good faith. Customers may also seek assistance or bring a complaint to Pro Consumidor where it has authority. Complaints can be resolved through available informal or legal procedures, without requiring customers to waive a statutory right to a competent authority or court.

12

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Disputes may be brought before the competent Dominican authorities and courts, including those in Santo Domingo where appropriate. Nothing in this provision displaces mandatory consumer rights, protections or competent forums that cannot lawfully be waived in a purchaser’s place of residence.

13

Changes and contact

We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised version and a new effective date. Changes do not retroactively remove rights for orders already accepted. Contact the store owner at:
